Does the U7 Lite support the 6 GHz band?
No. Unlike the U7 Pro and Pro Max models, the U7 Lite is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point. It operates exclusively on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Can I use my old U6 Lite or U6+ ceiling mounts?
Yes. The U7 Lite uses the exact same physical chassis footprint as the older U6 Lite and U6+ models.
Does it come with a power supply or PoE injector?
No. Like most enterprise-grade Ubiquiti hardware, the U7 Lite does not include a power adapter in the box. It runs on standard 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) with a maximum power draw of 13W.
What speed switch port do I need to get full performance?
The U7 Lite features a 2.5 GbE RJ45 uplink port. While it will work fine plugged into a standard 1 Gbps Gigabit port, you need to connect it to a 2.5 Gbps (Multi-Gigabit) switch port to unlock its full wireless potential—which tops out at a data rate of 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band.
